Social-political situation in Ukraine: September 2015

Block Poroshenko» and «Batkivshchyna» are the leaders in the rating of parties on the election in the Verkhovna Rada and in local authorities, followed by «Samopomich» and «Opposition block».

After the election of 2014 the rating of «Narodnyi front» has decreased the most. «Block Poroshenko» and «Samopomich» showed growth at the beginning but later decreased and returned to the level of the election of 2014. A rating «Batkivshchyna» has decreased in comparison with July 2015 but significantly is higher in comparison with the election of 2014.

Thoughts and opinions concerning the methods of resistance to the invaders / occupiers: September 2015

To the question «Do you agree or disagree with the statement that the annexation of Crimea by Russia in 2014 is occupation?» 77, 5% of respondents agreed with this statement, 10, 8% – disagreed and 11, 7% were not sure with their opinion or refused to answer.

Also the question «What point of you is closer to you?» about the events in Donbas 79, 8% of respondents chose the option that «Russia's actions in the Donbas is actually a military intervention – armed intervention in the internal affairs of Ukraine», 7% chose the option «Russia's actions in the Donbas is supporting of the people of this region in their struggle for independence». Another 13.2% of respondents were not sure with their opinion or refused to answer.

People refuse from stationary phones even before phone tariffs increase

In spring of 2015 the percentage of mobile phone users among adult population in Ukraine was 2.3 times higher than the percentage of those who have a stationary (landline) phone: 89% of adults in Ukraine use mobile telecommunication, and only 39% use stationary phones. The percentage of stationary phone users continued to drop.
