Opinion of the Ukrainian population about the observance of the constitutional provisions

From February 22 to February 27, 2008 the Kiev International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) conducted All–Ukrainian poll. 2038 respondents at the age of 18 years and older living in all regions of Ukraine, Crimea and Kiev according to statistical selection were surveyed by the method of interview.

The statistical error of selection (with probability 0.95 and at design–effect 1.5) doesn't exceed the following: 3.5% for indicators which are close to 50%, 3,0% – for indicators which are close to 25%, 2,0% – for indicators which are close to 10% or 90%.

  • 39% of respondents consider that the President of Ukraine observes of the Constitutional provisions.

  • 31% of respondents consider that the government observes the provisions of the Constitution, 20% – the Ukrainian Parliament, 28% – the Constitutional Court.

  • Relatively more supporters NUNS, Block of Yulia Tymoshenko and Party of Regions consider that the President observes of the Constitutional provisions than other institutions of power do it.

Percentages of respondents (including supporters of three political party), who consider that the President, the Government, the Constitutional Court and the Ukrainian Parliament observes of the Constitutional provisions.
