Dynamics of the attitude of the population of Ukraine to opinion polls, December 2020
The press release was prepared by Volodymyr Paniotto, Director General of KIIS. From December 1 to 12, 2020, the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) conducted an all-Ukrainian public opinion poll. By the method of personal interviewwereinterviewed 2001 respondents living in 110 settlements of all regions of Ukraine (except the Autonomous Republic of Crimea) according to a stochastic sample, representative of the population of Ukraine aged 18 and over. In Luhansk and Donetsk regions, survey was conducted only in the territories controlled by Ukraine. The statistical error of the sample (with a probability of 0.95 and a design effect of 1.5) does not exceed: 3.3% for indicators close to 50%, 2.8% for indicators close to 25%, 2.0% - for indicators close to 10%, 1.4% - for indicators close to 5%.
KIIS conducts a survey of the population's attitude to opinion polls once a year, in December. The December 2020 poll showed that 41% of respondents trust the data of long-term working sociological organizations, 21% do not trust, others do not have a certain opinion about it. The level of trust in these sociological polls has not changed in recent years (in 2019 it was 42%, and in 2020 - 41%). The balance of trust and distrust (percentage of those who trust, minus the percentage of those who distrust) is + 20%, a year ago it was equal to + 21% (a small statistically insignificant decrease).
