As of the beginning of the year, 62% of adult population of Ukraine use the Internet. The partition of the Internet users amongst the population of Ukraine aged 18-39 is 91%. Senior age and living in rural areas significantly reduces the likelihood of using the Internet.

The research showed that, in general, the Ukrainians treat holidays with love and respect, only 2% of respondents do not treat any of the holidays as important and favorite.

Main results: almost whole population of the city knows about the urge to rename the city. Vast majority of them do not support this initiative. Amongst the possible variants of the city name most people vote for “Kirovohrad”. If there were no such option as “Kirovohrad” in the list of variants, most citizens (55%) would vote for “Yelysavetgrad”. Option “Kropyvnytskyi” would be chose by 8%.

Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Yadov (1929 – 2015) was an outstanding scientist, one of the founders of Soviet sociology, a person who felt compassion for Ukraine and made a great contribution to the formation and development of Ukrainian sociology. Volodymyr Yadov was awarded the medal of Kistyakivskyi Sociological association of Ukraine.

The book about his life and work written by American sociologist B. Doctorov  has been published.
