The results of KIIS survey on tobacco smoking in Ukraine as of 2015 compared to 2013-2014
Kiev International Institute of Sociology at the request of the Ukrainian Center for Tobacco Control and NGO Advocacy Center LIFE at December 2015 has performed a nationwide survey (omnibus) with questions about smoking, smoking cessation, smoking intensity, smoking in public places and at workplaces and perception of tobacco products’ promotion (see Annex A to review the list of questions included in the survey in 2015). The most recent similar surveys were conducted by KIIS in February 2013 and October 2014.

Presentation of the results: Corruption practices in Ukraine: perception vs real experience of citizens
How extensive is the corruption problem in Ukraine? What percentage of the population is involved in corrupt dealings? Which institution is the most corrupt, and which ones have decreasing levels of corruption? Who is responsible for combating corruption, and how active are the citizens themselves? Answers to these and a number of other questions related to a research into corruption issues were presented on 27 January at a public discussion titled “Corruption practices in Ukraine: perception VS real experience of citizens”.

Which direction of foreign policy should Ukraine take: European Union, Customs Union (December 2015)
Vast majority of Ukrainians support the idea of joining the European Union. According to data of research conducted by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, if referendum on whether Ukraine needs to join EU had taken place in December, 2015, 53% of Ukrainians would have voted for Ukraine joining the EU, 23% would have been against, 24% have not decided yet or would not have participated in voting. |
