General Director of KIIS Vladimir Paniotto took part in the X-th Global Security Forum in Bratislava (GLOBSEC Bratislava Global Security Forum).

GLOBSEC has become the largest and most innovative conference of its kind in Central Europe. Each year an influential community of 800 guests from more than 60 countries.

This year's topics was the political situation and armed conflict in Ukraine.

According to the results of the survey conducted at the end of May 2015, the absolute majority of the Ukrainian population don’t support idea that Ukraine should choose joining the Customs Union with Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan: If the referendum concerning the joining of Ukraine the Customs Union had taken place at the end of May 2015, 58,8% would have voted against the joining, and 18,6% for the joining. The rest 24,7% wouldn't have decided or wouldn’t have taken part in the voting.

If presidential elections were held in late May this year, Ukrainian population at the age of 18 years and older– 13,6% would vote for Petr Poroshenko, 7,2% - for Yulia Tymoshenko, 4,2% - for Oleg Lyashko, 3,8% - for Andrei Sadovoy, 2,8% - for Anatoliy Gritsenko, 1,7% - for Dmitry Yarosh, 1,6% - for Sergey Tigipko, 1,5% - for Yuriy Boiko, 1,2% - for Oleg Tyagnibok, for other candidates – 4.9%, 7,8%  - planned to cross out all candidates or to spoil a voting ballot, 24,8% - decided not to vote, and 25% – have not decided for whom to vote.

The study showed that 68% of Ukrainians didn’t plan to take a rest (accordance to survey data of May, 2015). This number increased in comparison with 2014 (there ewe62%). The number of those who are not able to go somewhere is 24%. There were 17% in 2014, the difference is statistically significant.
