За даними опитувань КМІС різних років, приблизно від 10 до 14% українських родин взагалі не відзначають ніяких свят, включаючи дні народження, Новий рік та Різдво. Отже, за даними опитування, проведеного у лютому 2008 року, серед усього дорослого населення України  7% чоловіків з різних причин не збираються робити подарунки на 8 Березня, а 16% жінок не очікують подарунків.

73% of respondents said that they go to the cinema at least once a year, don’t attend at all or don’t remember when they were at the movies the last time.

17% of respondents believe the main purpose of the March 1, 2008 the congress of deputies of all levels in Severodonetsk is association of opposition parties in the struggle for power.

In response to the question " What do you think people are most afraid of"? (not more than 3 answers), more than half of the respondents – 54% – called the rising prices and utility tariffs. This opinion 62% of the residents of the East, 54% – of the South, 52% – of the Center, 47% – the West. 

21% of respondents said that referendum on Ukraine's accession to NATO is not needed at all.
Another 37% expressed the need to postpone such a referendum until the population is sufficiently informed about NATO.
