How do you do!
Kiev International Institute of Sociology conducted a nationwide opinion poll during the period of September 21 — October 3, 2012. 2043 respondents were interviewed; the investigation covered all regions of Ukraine, including Kiev and Crimea Region; the sample was random and is deemed to be representative for population of Ukraine aged 18 and above.

THE LONG-AWAITED 21ST OF DECEMBER: WHO BELIEVES IN MAYAN PROPHECY?
Despite the hype in the media, 95% of Kiev citizens believe that doomsday will not come this Friday, and 30% - that it will not come ever. Kyiv International Institute of Sociology conducted a public opinion poll among residents of Kyiv from November 28 to December 9. 1005 respondents aged over 18 were interviewed by CATI - computer-assisted telephone interviewing (personal phone interview). The sample is representative for the adult population of Kyiv by sex and age, territorial and administrative structures. Statistical sampling error with a probability of 0.95 is less than 3.2% for index close to 50%, 2.7% - index close to 25%, 1.9% - index close to 10%, 1.4% - index close to 5%, 0.6 % - index close to 1%.

UKRAINIANS ARE WIDELY AWARE OF POLITICAL SHOWS
Kyiv International Institute of Sociology held a regular nationwide opinion poll in the midst of a political campaign during the period of September 12-23, 2012, which was designed to study popularity and target audience of sociopolitical programs in structure of Ukrainian television network. 2,012 respondents were interviewed; the survey covered all regions of Ukraine (including the city of Kyiv) and in Crimea; sample was random and representative for the population of Ukraine aged 18 years and older.

Dynamics of attitudes between Ukraine and Russia
Following the schedule of joint project of the Kiev International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) and the Levada Center (Russia), KIIS has conducted a nationwide opinion poll regarding attitude of Ukrainians towards Russia and attitude of Russia towards Ukrainian population, which was held during the period of September 21 – October 3, 2012. 2043 respondents were interviewed; the investigation covered all regions of Ukraine, including Kiev and Crimea Region; the sample was random and is deemed to be representative for population of Ukraine aged 18 and above.

Comparison of exit poll with the results of the elections on october 28th, 2012
National Exit Poll 2012 was conducted on the day of the elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on October 28, 2012, by the Consortium, which includes "Democratic Initiative" named after Ilko Kucheriv, Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) and the Ukrainian Centre of Economic and Political Studies named after Oleksandr Razumkov. General population of this exit poll is made up of voters who voted at polling stations in the territory of Ukraine (except for special districts). The sample is representative for the whole population of Ukraine. 19,600 respondents were interviewed at 400 polling stations. Technique of "secret ballot" was applied. |
